Voices for Animals

Voices coordinates a range of activities throughout the year. Our Feral Cat Spay/Neuter Project provides sterilizations and vaccinations for feral and unowned free-roaming cats in Central Virginia. Our Houses of Wood and Straw (HOWS) Project provides proper housing, straw bedding, and other comforts for neglected outdoor dogs. Voices for Animals also organizes tablings at community events, action alerts on a variety of animal protection issues, and pet food drives for the needy, doing all we can to create a better world for animals.

News: VOICES FOR ANIMALS RECEIVES A GENEROUS GRANT FROM TWO MAUDS, INC.

Voices for Animals is pleased to announce that it has received its first-ever grant from Two Mauds, Inc. for $3,000 to support our Feral Cat Spay/Neuter Project!

Two Mauds, Inc. is a foundation established by Dr. Dallas Pratt, a psychiatrist who believed in the human-animal bond, was known as a progressive in the field of mental health, and was perhaps the first highly credible voice against biomedical research in the modern animal rights movement.

The foundation now focuses its work on funding affordable spay/neuter projects in the Appalachian area.

Voices for Animals is very grateful to Two Mauds, Inc. for recognizing the vital importance of spaying/neutering in reducing animal suffering and for supporting our work in achieving that goal.
